I think a breeder knowingly bred and sold puppies with a problem what can i do?
I have had the puppy 6 months and have been in the vets several times due to a skin rash and paying for antiboitics everytime. Well, I found out yesterday by seeing a different vet that it is red mange and it is only passed from parents to pups. Now, I have to treat my dog with a dip every 2 weeks for an uncertain amount of time, as they don't know how long it will take to clear up. I also had to buy more atibiotics for him because this mange is causing him to have staff infection. Also when i bought him they told me he was ukc, and i have a contract to that effect. But the breeder has failed to get me the papers. I love the dog to much to consider returning him and i think there is a time limit on that sort of thing. But, it would be nice to get some of the money i paid for him and the excessive vet bills back. I have called the breeder did me no good. At the very least I do not want these people to be able to continue registering pups from this set of dogs. e mail if u have more??|||First you should contact the UKC, and find out if these dogs are registered, then notify the UKC of what is going on. You could also probably go to a breed web ring, and find someone who could help you more. As far as your money goes, either you have to give the dog back and recieve a full refund, or you have to accept all of it. There are no partial refunds in that contract, i gaurentee it.|||Sounds like an altogether bad situation. I am a very big animal lover. If this happened to me, I would be highly upset. You should file a complaint against the breeder with AKC. http://www.akc.org/about/depts/investiga...
