What is this rash?

i rented these mid-calf, patent leather boots for halloween. i wore them only friday night and now i am breaking out in hives from the knee down. do you think it was the boot material, the disinfectant that they use or previous renters (ew!) what is it and how do i get rid of it? ive showered a few times since then and havent done anything else to irritate the skin. im pissed. help!|||sounds like some one played a joke on you and put in itching powder, go get some Cortizone 10,, it is over the counter
