female age 8 years, skin rash which looks like blood blisters, over trunk neck arms %26amp; legs. diagnosed Scarlettina 4 weeks ago, has been prescribed 3 different antibiotics in past 6 weeks|||Virus infections, drugs, aplastic anemia, leukemia|||an infection
leukemia
any time you are sick, your white blood cells are low...i think or is it high because they fight off? now I can't remember.
don't want to scare you but get checked for leukemia.|||Death.|||well there could be many things but i know that eating a lot of sugary foods for a while and soda. Well i had some on my arms and thats what my docter told me so i stopped eating like that and they went away fast!!!! But im not sure maybe you should ask your doctor.|||Pretty sure, I think white count goes higher with infections. (Not sure about leukemia as others have mentioned) So... if it's not an infection because blood count is low, antibiotics probably won't work. Is is maybe some type of virus? Any history of immune deficiency disorders? If your not already at a dermitologist, I would get an appt with one ASAP for the rash. Then see if it has the effect on the blood count as well. Hope she gets to feeling better.|||any type of infection that is not responding to treatment will cause low white cell count, my son has leukeamia and when diagnosed his white cell count was low, but so was his hemaglobin count, im sure they would have picked that up at the dr's. Antibiotics increase the white cell count for the time they are being taken, their affects dissapear 48 hours after finishing the course. my advice would be to ask for another opinion at the dr's.|||it may be drug induced, likesteroid|||Low white cell count doesn't mean leukemia. You have high white cell count when your body is fighting an infection. Take her to another doctor and get a second opinion.|||hiv?
