I've had it for a long time. I have sensitive skin. It doesn't bother me at all (not itchy).. but I think it's caused by constant heat and sweat in the cleavage area. It's just unattractive. What can I do to get rid of the red marks?|||Mine was under my breasts. I thought it was due to the heat and my bra rubbing. I showed my doctor and she said it was a yeast infection. Who knew?
Anyway, I used a generic anti-fungal cream from Wal-Mart. It was cheaper than the athlete's foot and jock itch treatments, which are basically the same thing. The rash cleared right up.|||I don't know about getting rid of it, but maybe some baby powder could prevent it.|||i have the EXACT same thing......i dont really know how to get rid of it but when i got in a pool it seemed to go away but then come back a few days l8er.......i would like to know the answer to this too|||use a body powder there to absorb the sweat|||A dermatologist prescribed me something called Fucidin cream its made up from Fusidic Acid Ph.2%. I am not sure you can buy it OTC, but you can try or ask your doctor to prescribe it it works great.|||Hi,
This is normal . It is because of skin infection . Pl. apply antiseptic cream on the effected area. It will be cured.|||This is probably caused by the friction of the breasts rubbing together. If you are not careful, it could become a fungal problem that would need to be treated with an anti-fungal powder. This will elimante the odor and absorb the moisture which in turn will prevent that and works better than baby powder. The baby powder creates more moisture to accumulate. If it gets intolerable seek the advice of a dermatologist.*******After reading some of your anwers, there were some really good suggestions, the doctor gave a medication for me that is also good, sounds strange possibly but it does work. taking care of the discomfort and helps to rid the problem and it is not expensive. It maybe puchased over the counter. The problem of trying to keep the area dry and keeping the chances of causung the redness to continue the powder is in a bottle is called Tolnaftate 1% , Kills most athlete's foot and jock itch fungi. the bottle is 1,5 ounces.. I really would advise you not to apply any creams or ointments in or around the area. That would more than likely cause the moisture to remain and it will begin to smell badly. Remember as most folks have reccommended- keep it dry. Just making yourself feel better and controlling the odor, would be a good reason to use it and the powder would be useful on any body part. Before using it on a baby I would ask the doctor first. by the way this powder does not smell bad.thank you for taking the time to read my answer.|||The "doctor" is wrong. You are right, your rash is from repeated exposure to heat. No creams or ointments will get rid of it. If you strictly avoid all forms of heat and the heat of the sun, the redness(erythema) will fade, but we are talking probably a year or two. Please read the link (worked in a steel foundry)|||Gold bond powder or cream ... you can also use old fashioned corn starch. I'm a nurse.|||it sounds as if mine and your boobs are in the same boat, (or i guess i should say same bra, lol...)
if the rash usually appears in hot weather, i would say it is a heat rash and not an infection like the "doctor above" said. i have the same prob with my boobs as well as on my side area where the so called "luv handles" are. as a matter of fact just today i got the rash. this is what i do (literally in about 30 min. i will be doing this) and it works wonders!!!
take a cool bath, splash lots of cool water on the rash area, don't use harsh soap with dyes/perfumes. after drying off REALLY well (pat dry is the best), apply some baby butt cream (not ointment, but the white cream). i like the Johnson's overall, but you can use balmex or any store brand. for me, by the next morning it is 90% cleared and by that night it is generally 100% gone. after you get this cleared away, the next time you bathe, apply some baby powder to the area after drying off. don't gobb in on, but put a lil in your hands, kinda rub your hands togather and pat the powder on. when i apply the powder, it last all day on me and it stops all sweating. i really don't suggust using any type of ointments or oily products as this could make you sweat more.
give this a try and hopefully it'll save you a trip to the doc and lots of $$.... (:%26gt;)
