I'm scared.
My boyfriend is constantly congested (allergies) and also has random white spots on his skin.. almost like losing pigment in some small areas. He said he hasn't had these bad of allergies/skin problems all his life.
I know he's had several sex partners before me, and has mentioned he's had unprotected sex with some of them.
Are these symptoms signs of hiv? I want to get tested, and to ask him to, or maybe get tested together, but I'm TERRIFIED!
I need some advice... help....|||The best thing to do is get tested and put your mind at ease. At least you can prepare yourself mentally for the possibility of testing positive, rather than find out during a routine full physical. Even if you do test positive, it's not the end of the world.
Get tested, try not to be afraid, and know that things will be okay, whatever the results. Best of luck to you.|||GET TESTED! Not knowing is far worse than knowing and then taking the steps to remain healthy. I know it is scary and more than likely your boyfriend does not have HIV.The symptoms he is having could be caused by lots of things. Please just go get tested and beg your BF to get tested as well. .|||these symptoms may not be anything but anyone that has had unprotected sex can have hiv--tell him this and get tested|||I suggest that you and you boyfriend get tested right away, as it very much treatable these days and its better to no early than leave it. There is huge amont of help out there as iv just been diagnosed as HIV + in the last two weeks. Id been getting flue after flue it semes for the last six years on and off and had been so enegerless and tired all the time but no rashes but heavly congested in the nose and more allagies.
There is help lines available in the phone books and contact tha AIDS councill can help also.|||I used to constintantly be worried bout this kind of stuff, it could all just be a coincidence, but it wouldnt hurt to get tested.
Dont be terrified either! It will be fine.
HIV has many new treatments and you can live a pretty good full life, its not the death statement anymore, as it once was...
Still, you should use protection, always.
