It burns but there is no rash. Why?

This deodorant I use burns when i put it on, but it dosen't do anything bad to my skin. What does that mean?|||Do you shave or wax your armpits? Many deodorants contain, to varying levels, astringent chemicals that can burn when applied. I would recommend trying Gillette Clinical Strength underarm deodorant and antiperspirant. It contains a petrolatum and triglyceride base and seems to be well tolerated by men who do not tolerate the typical "Red Zone" and men's fashion deodorants/antiperspirants. These latter formulations tend to have a feeling like splashing alcohol-based aftershave on a freshly shaved face. The Gillette Clinical Strength is more often tolerated by men who are sensitive to other deodorants. It's expensive though. I believe it's around $9.00 USD for one container.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted. Oh, there is also an Israeli deodorant called Lavilin that tends not to create a burning sensation when applied. It has lengthy rules as to application do's and don'ts and claims to work by applying only once per week. Your mileage may vary.
