Does anyone know of a good cream that works well with lightening dark spot. I had a rash on my leg and from scratching I irritated it, and they left dark marks. Ive never had dark spots , let alone a breakout before. Im dying to find something to lighten these spots on my legs before the summer. Any suggestions would be helpful/|||I have people swore that Ambi or Nadinola cream works great and you can find them at any drugstore or mass merchandise retailer. You can also try some home remedies too. Try soaking a cotton ball in either lemon juice or buttermilk, then dabbing it to the affected area for a couple of weeks. Those dark spots should disappear.|||Ambi skin cream is good and you can find it at most drugstores.
Only use it if you rash is gone, though.|||Try Fade Out cream. It's a British product but you can get it from Amazon (link below).
There's full info on there and it usually works in about six weeks but you'll have to make sure the rash/irritation is gone as you can't apply it to broken or irritated skin. Plus, as with any product, make sure you're not allergic to any of the ingredients.
I hope you get the skin tone you want for the summer!|||The dark spots are the result of dead skin left behind from the rash and scratching. Yes bleaching cream can work but it will only lighten the dark spots not get rid of the dead skin. Try gently exfoliating the area with a loofah, add lemon juice to soap. The citric acid will help lighten the area as well as buff off the dead skin. Keep the area moisturized with a cream, as for the rash to calm it if it returns all you need is instant oatmeal. Slather on the oat meal before bathing, it calms the skin and reduces redness and itching.

on my thighs. you know those blue/purple dots you get when you suck on your skin? it looks horrible. ive gotten it before. any ideas? thanks.|||They're probably bruises from something you aren't aware you are 'hitting' ... try 'looking around' more as you go through your day, and you'll 'see' what is causing those 'spots' ... I had them and found out I was 'hitting' my legs when I was climbing over the chairs in the stadium to sell 'cotton candy.' I changed the way I climbed, and the 'spots' went away!|||Have you been scratching that area a bit more often because of dry skin or any other cause? Because sometimes the continuated action of scratching, even lightly, can hurt your skin and the superficial small blood vessels may have a miniscule burst and leave those dots on your skin.
I would massage with a bit of lotion and wait a few days. Surely it will normalize!
EDIT
I have just seen your additional detail, as I posted my answer to you... i am sure that's what happened :)|||Its heat rash. Your body is too hot and trying to cool you down, it is trying to get as much of your blood (which is too hot) to the surface of the skin. It gives you a rash and your skin is irritated by the heat so you get itchy.
To cool it down, try a cool- NOT COLD shower to lower the temperature, (if you make the water too cool, your body automaticaly heats up to keep you warm in some freak reaction, despite you feeling warm) Also try moituriser, DONT SCRATCH OR IT WILL GET WORSE! and wear cotten clothes, no man made stuff like nylon and polyester, atleast until the weather gets much colder.|||Visit the source below. Here is a herb remedy that will work, but will require some patience. But you need to heal the issue internally. Learn about cleansing and detoxifying the blood.
1. Take 1-3 droppersful of Echinacea Plus Tincture (at herbdoc.com or another qualified site).
2. Rub Garlic oil ALL over the affected area (Garlic will kill anything if you use enough of it)
3. Give 1-3 glasses of Activated Charcoal Slurry per day (to absorb the toxins out of the blood)
4. Mix equal parts of Aloe Vera Gel, Slippery Elm Powder and Activated Charcoal Powder together (absorbs the toxins externally)
5. Apply a thin layer of this mixture over the AFFECTED area(s).
6. Continue this treatment, until the desired Results are achieved.
This is healing at it's finest and you have freedom when you can do this for yourself or others.
Cause
Eczema is often called Dermatitis, and may be a symptom of an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. Eczema can be due to allergies, allergies secondary to digestive disorders such as hydrochloric acid deficiency, rashes secondary to immune diseases, genetic metabolic disorders, and/or nutritional deficiencies, especially of niacin (vitamin B3) and B6, as well as other B vitamins.
To minimize your risk of developing eczema, avoid irritating substances, wear natural nonirritating materials, use soothing ointments, and check to see if dietary, nutritional, and/or and allergy-causing factors need to be considered.
Juice Therapy: The following juice combinations can help speed healing: black currant and red grapes; carrot, beet, spinach, cucumber, and parsley; and wheat grass juice.
Nutritional Supplementation: Vitamin A and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), an omega-6 essential fatty acid found in high quantities in evening primrose oil, have both been shown to improve the symptoms of eczema. Vitamin E. Other useful supplements for preventing and reversing eczema include vitamin B complex, vitamin B6, vitamin E, magnesium, and zinc.
Topical Treatment: Apply evening primrose oil directly to cracked and sore areas of the skin. A topical paste made from ginkgo and licorice root extract has also been shown to improve eczema symptoms.

Here are a few ideas to heal the issue.
Cause
Although most rashes are not symptoms of a serious health problem, they can be signs of allergies, liver and gallbladder problems, lupus, bleeding disorders, nutritional deficiencies, and autoimmune diseases.
Rashes can also be due to the elimination of toxic wastes through the skin, or of an active immune reaction to an invading organism. Suppression of such a rash can lead to chronic disease states. Rather than try to suppress the rash, in such cases watchful waiting may be more advisable.
Caution: If your rash becomes chronic, forms a "butterfly" shape over your cheeks, or is accompanied by high fever and joint pains, seek immediate medical attention to rule out more serious illnesses.

Natural Cures
Diet: Screen for and eliminate any foods to which you are allergic or sensitive. Eat an organic, whole foods diet, with plenty of green leafy vegetables and yellow vegetables such as carrots, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and winter squash. Also drink plenty of pure, filtered water, and avoid all processed foods and chemical food additives.
Flower Essences: Rescue Remedy Cream® applied topically to the affected areas.
Herbs: The following herbal remedies can speed healing: A tincture of equal parts burdock root and gentian root, the fresh juice of coriander, and/or aloe vera juice or gel.
Homeopathy: Useful homeopathic remedies include Belladonna, Sulfur, Graphites, and Calc carb.
Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy is the application of water, ice, steam and hot and cold temperatures to maintain and restore health. Treatments include full body immersion, steam baths, saunas, sitz baths, colonic irrigation and the application of hot and/or cold compresses. Hydrotherapy is effective for treating a wide range of conditions and can easily be used in the home as part of a self-care program. Many Naturopathic Physicians, Physical Therapists and Day Spas use Hydrotherapy as part of treatment.
*Purified water is essential for any hydrotherapy treatment. Remedies for Treating Chlorinated Bath Water offers clear instructions and recommendations.
Juice Therapy: Drink fresh squeezed vegetable juices on a daily basis, especially carrot, beet, radish, and garlic juice.
Nutritional Supplementation: The following nutrients can be helpful to speed healing: vitamin A and vitamin E (both orally and applied topically over the affected areas), vitamin C, essential fatty acids (EFAs), flaxseed oil, and amma linolenic acid (GLA). In addition, add half a teaspoon of baking soda to water and drink every fifteen minutes. Do this three times, and then every two to three hours for two to three days or until the reaction subsides.
Alternative Professional Care
If your symptoms persist despite the above measures, seek the help of a qualified health professional. The following professional care therapies have all been shown to be useful for treating rashes: Acupuncture, Ayurveda, Detoxification Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Orthomolecular Medicine, Osteopathy, Oxygen Therapy (Hydrogen Peroxide), and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

What could the rash-type/itchy symptoms be?
i have had a very itchy small toe and between the last two toes. it is considerably dry - drier than the rest of my foot.
The skin on top of the small toe eventually dried up so much that part of it peeled away. It doesn't hurt, just very itchy and the skin surface is not broken. Have never had my feet do this.
I play many sports year-round but have never had this.
Any feedback?
I use moisturizer on my feet daily during the dry time of the year and have always use the same product but the small toe continues these symptoms. I have never had athlete's foot, or foot fungus or any feet issues so I don't know exactly what those symptoms are. Could it be one of those? If so, what product would you recommend?|||Athlete's Foot (a.k.a. fungus)
Keep your feet clean and dry
Wear cotton socks and change often.
Dry your feet completely, including between toes, after showering.
Use an over-the-counter spray or cream that attacks fungus: Lotrimin, Aftin, etc.
Spray bleach on your shower floor after showering.|||It could be psoriasis or athletes foot.
Use an athletes foot cream. If that doesn't work, get Hydro cortisone cream.

|||You might have skin allergy. Try to change your bathing soap.|||i had the same thing. same syptoms and everything. everyone told me it was an allergic reaction to something b/c i wash my hands alot at work. when i went to the dermolagist, he told me i had ecemza on my hands (in which i have had ecemza on other parts of me) go to the doctor, it'll take 20 mintues at the most and he should prescribe you a hand cream. mine went away after a fews DAYS of using it..|||Hi Sarah
Here are some answers and remedies on the issue.

Stop all the lotions and creams.
Wash with soap and water.
Apply OTC hydro-cortisone 0.5% cream three times a day.
Take one 25 mg Benadryl tablet before sleep. (OTC)
Wear loose cotton gloves in cold weather.
This should turn it around in a week.
If it persists or worsens, you have more going on and need to consult medical care.

Is this a rash?
I have a patch of skin on my leg that has been itchy and red. It feels rough like extremely dry skin, but it's only in one area and lotion doesn't seem to help. I've had it for about 2 months. It has gotten smaller but is still itchy and rough. What could it be?|||Could be eczema try soaking in a chlorinated pool. Until the spot dries up keep it out of the sun. the sun will make it get worse.before you go to bed at night apply some sunflower oil or (borage oil) omega 6.
Could skin contact with a small amount of sodium azide cause skin irritation appearing a week later?
About 2.5 mg of aqueous sodium azide (or more specifically, about 5 mL of a 0.05% solution); symptoms appearing one week after exposure and worsening for several days (at least three); rash that looks like pimples or very small blisters and spreads for approximate site of exposure to surrounding area over the course of several days.
I'm trying to figure out the cause of an unexplained rash. Don't ask.|||Yes, azides can cause delayed reactions..........go find a doctor NOW!!|||Yes.
The seriousness of poisoning caused by sodium azide depends on the amount, route, and length of time of exposure, as well as the age and preexisting medical condition of the person exposed.
Breathing the gas that is formed from sodium azide causes the most harm, but ingesting (swallowing) sodium azide can be toxic as well.
People exposed to a small amount of sodium azide by breathing it, absorbing it through their skin, or eating foods that contain it may have some or all of the following symptoms within minutes:
Rapid breathing
Restlessness
Dizziness
Weakness
Headache
Nausea and vomiting
Rapid heart rate
Red eyes (gas or dust exposure)
Clear drainage from the nose (gas or dust exposure)
Cough (gas or dust exposure)
Skin burns and blisters (explosion or direct skin contact)
Exposure to a large amount of sodium azide by any route may cause these other health effects as well:
Convulsions
Low blood pressure
Slow heart rate
Loss of consciousness
Lung injury
Respiratory failure leading to death.
There is no specific antidote against sodium azide, only supportive care.

4days ago my grandma had just gotin a new lotion. I decided to try it with out my grandma noing. Then I felt something strange in my hands. My grandma has tried the lotion one time, after i tried it on, and it made her skin older. Am I alregic? The lotion was made out of pasion fruit. Hurry!|||Have grandma return the lotion. your hands in a lukewarm oatmeal bath. ( Not your whole body, just you hands). If that doesn't help then you may need to see a doctor. Sounds like

Skin Conditions|||My guess is dermatomyositis:
"Dermatomyositis (DM) affects people of any age or sex, but is found is more women than men. DM is thought to be an autoimmune disease, meaning the body's immune system, which normally fights infections and viruses, does not stop fighting once the infection or virus is gone. The immune system then attacks the body's own normal, healthy tissue through inflammation (IN fluh MAY shun), or swelling.
DM is the easiest type of myositis to diagnose because of the skin rash. The DM rash looks patchy, dusky, and reddish or purple. It is found on the eyelids, cheeks, nose, back, upper chest, elbows, knees and knuckles. Click here to see examples of typical skin symptoms. Some people also have hardened bumps under the skin, called calcinosis (kal si NOH sis). The rash is often seen before muscle weakness is felt. The skin rash and weak muscles are caused by inflammation (IN fluh MAY shun), or swelling, in the blood vessels under the skin and in the muscles, also called vasculitis (vas kyoo LIE tis).
Muscle weakness usually happens over a period of days, weeks or months. Patients who have the skin rash but feel no muscle weakness have amyopathic (a mee yo PATH ik) DM, or DM sine (sin AY) myositis. The weakness begins with muscles that are closest to and within the trunk of the body. Neck, hip, back and shoulder muscles are examples. Some DM patients have muscle pain and difficulty swallowing, or dysphagia (dis FAY je yuh)."

Break out or rash?
last weekend i use a wash in wash out hair dye and along my hair line I have suddenly gotten a really bad spot break out - could this be linked with the hair dye? the spots are quite painful and big.
I normally have really good skin.|||it sounds like it, it sounds like you could be sensitive to one of the ingredients, i know most of us take no notice of it, but it is the reason why they tell you to do a sensitivity test before hand
i wouldn't use that brand again, it sounds like it doesn't agree with you

Dry, red rash on face?
About mid October two spots of dry red skin appeared on my chin. They do not itch, but they do get flaky and hurts like a sun burn. At first I thought my dog had gotten into something and transfered it to my face, and that it would go away with time.
Well it has been about a month and a half and it is still there.
I have tried several things to make this go away. I have tried lotions and moisturizers, I have tried hydrocortizone cream, anti-fungal cream, dandruff shampoo (some one told me it was like scalp dandruff but on the face). No cahnge at all.
I have always had fairly clear skin, and have no allergies that I am aware of.
So what else can I do to try to get rid of it?|||Nutritional status, stress levels, climate and season all play a role in the quality of a person's skin. In order to improve your skin, you need to consider and address all these different aspects, for simply rubbing on moisturizers is unlikely to provide you with the benefit you are seeking.
From a nutritional standpoint, you need to ensure that you are
receiving adequate nourishment which includes essential vitamins and minerals. It also means eliminating substances that are not adding any substantial nutritional value.
For two weeks, make certain that you are receiving plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your diet while avoiding alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, and other recreational drugs.
Throughout the day, drink abundant fluids in the form of fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Prepare yourself some ginger and licorice tea by adding one teaspoon of each to a pint of hot water and sipping it throughout the day.
Make certain that you are receiving adequate oil in your diet to include vegetarian sources of both omega-6 and omega-3. Sauté your vegetables in sesame or olive oil and try adding some flaxseed oil on a daily basis. Try adding some ghee (clarified butter) to your diet to help your skin.|||You have certainly tried a lot of things in just 6 weeks. You need to give things time to work. Dry skin doesn't clear up in just a few days. You need to give you skin time to rejuvenate. That means at least a week to 10 days.
The first thing you should probably do is to try to keep the skin as moist as possible. Allow the natural healing to occur. If that doesn't work then you will probably need to see a dermatologist. If it is some sort of infection you'll need appropriate treatment.

When scratched, pieces of skin peel away, exposing slightly burning/irritated skin. It has continued for the last 5 or 6 days. It started with dry skin patches at the top of both buttocks. It could scald and irritate the skin, especially if it wasn't rinsed of well. Dog skin has a different pH than human skin, and human shampoos are usually too harsh for dogs.|||Yes to all of your questions.
Eczema is a general term to describe various inflamed skin disorders in dogs. One of the most common form of eczema is atopic dermatitis. The symptoms of eczema may vary from dog to dog. Common for eczema in dogs is a red itchy scalp. Another eczema symptom is a dry skin with scaly skin rashes. In other dogs small bumps occur that become moist and oozing.
It appears that the cause of eczema is an abnormal response of the dogs immune system. Eczema is not contagious. Dogs with eczema are prone to develop yeast infections.
If your dog has eczema, the Head and Shoulders only made it worse, on top of the fact that Dog Shampoos exist for a reason. Don't use it again.

cortizone didn't work, my skin looks like it is wrinkling, kinda scary and it burns too. What the hell? It is also feels really hot? Can someone please suggest what it may be?|||I wonder if it is an allergy to your make up, or moisturizer, or face products that you use to clean your face. Also, make sure you are not keeping your make up too long. They get contaminated every time you dip into it.

i got patches of red swollen skin that are itchy they are welts of different sizes and very uncomfortable and wld be grateful if someone in the know cld explain the condition and mediciation i shld take for it....still scratching and thanks for answering......|||Heat Rash
Other Names:
--------------------------------------...
Symptoms:
An itchy skin rash which can occur in the heat of mid-summer.
--------------------------------------...
Cause:
As a result of poor diet, overwork, and lack of proper rest, the skin has become too acid.
--------------------------------------...
Treatment:
• Take a soda alkaline bath. This helps counteract acidity in the rash. Fill a bathtub with water at 95o-98o F. Add a cup of baking soda. Sit in the tub and continually pour the water over yourself. About 30-60 minutes later, stand in the tub and partially drip-dry. Then pat yourself dry and get out.
• Eat a more nutritious diet, obtain adequate rest, avoid meat and junk food. Do not smoke or drink|||Miliaria (miliaria rubra, sweat rash or prickly heat) is a skin disease marked by small and itchy rashes. Miliaria is a common ailment in hot and humid conditions, such as in the tropics and during the summer season. Although it affects people of all ages, it is especially common in children and infants due to their underdeveloped sweat glands.
Pathology
Miliaria (Prickly Heat) occurs when the sweat gland ducts get plugged with dead skin cells and bacteria such as Staphylococcus epidermidis, a common bacterium that occurs on the skin which is also associated with acne. The trapped sweat leads to irritation (prickling), itching and to a rash of very small blisters, usually in a localised area of the skin.
Clinical features
Symptoms of miliaria include small red rashes, called papules, which may itch or more often cause an intense 'pins-and-needles' prickling sensation. These rashes may simultaneously occur at a number of areas on a sufferer's body, the most common including the face, neck, under the breasts and under the scrotum. Other areas include skin folds, areas of the body that may rub against clothing, such as the back, chest, and stomach, etc. A related and sometimes simultaneous condition is folliculitis, where hair follicles become plugged with foreign matter, resulting in inflammation.
The symptoms relating to miliaria should not be confused with shingles as they can be very similar. Shingles will restrict itself to one side of the body around chest-height but also has a rash-like appearance. It is also accompanied by a prickling sensation and pain throughout the region. Those who suspect they have shingles and not miliaria should seek medical advice immediately as the sooner antivirals are taken, the better.
Other types of miliaria
In a similar mild condition called miliaria crystallina, instead of small rashes, there are tiny blisters that look like beads of perspiration. In miliaria profunda, a severe form of miliaria caused by a complication due to repeated outbreaks of miliaria rubra, the sweat ducts are completely blocked. This inability to sweat may cause the patient to be prone to heat exhaustion. Once triggered, a severe attack of miliaria commonly lasts 5-6 weeks because the plugs which form in the sweat duct openings can only be cast off by the outward growth of the sweat duct cells.
Prevention
Prickly heat can be prevented by avoiding activities that induce sweating, using air conditioning to cool the environment, wearing light clothing and in general, avoiding hot and humid weather. If that is not possible, and especially if air conditioning is unavailable or unaffordable, then taking multiple showers throughout the day (and night as well if needed) to unplug and clean the sweat glands is the best defense against it.
Treatment
There is currently little in the way of specific medical treatment, but in most cases the rashes disappear by themselves. Severe infections can last weeks. Early and continuous treatment of minor infections can effect recovery within a matter of days. Staying in an air-conditioned environment to avoid sweating will speed-up the healing process and lessen symptoms. Anti-itch lotions, such as calamine and topical steroid creams can be used to sooth and control the itching. Oil based products slow the defoliation process and should be avoided. Antibiotics and topical antiseptics are used to prevent bacterial blooms, reducing the chances of the sweat glands being plugged and causing inflammations. In some cases, vitamin A and C supplements can help shorten the duration and severity of the symptoms. Prickly heat powders, using antibacterial agents and ingredients like menthol and camphor with mild analgesic and cooling properties, can be applied to the affected areas to relieve the itching and discomfort. Healing takes time even when bacteria are reduced as new sweat gland cells need time to regrow as the damaged cells defoliate.
Instead of medicating, it is usually best to simply keep the skin clean by taking multiple showers to keep affected areas clean and sweat free. Mild antibacterial soaps may be helpful as well to slow spread and prevent future outbreaks. In most cases, these simple steps alone will make the rashes disappear naturally in a few days. If they persist, it may be advisable to consult a doctor in case a more serious infection is occurring.|||It's possible it could be yeast which is due to sweating common areas are armpits, fat folds, in between legs, groin area, etc. If so you need to use a cream for yeast that is only available by prescription. If it is a heat rash you only need to put baby powder w/cornstarch as the cornstarch aborbs sweat.|||Go out and get some medicated powder and use a cloth to apply it all over the places where you have the welts - most likely the places where you sweat. This happens to people all the time. It's simply a tolerance for the heat - not everyone has it, but if you do this before you go out for the duration of the summer, you'll find yourself alot more comfortable.|||It would help, if we new where these patches of red skin were. it sounds like Jock itch. which is a fungal infection and can be treated with canaston cream.|||I thought camomile lotion was best - maybe you can't get it any more - you could try camomile tea and use the teabags on your skin after you've drunk the tea.|||Heat rash is known as miliaria. There are varying types of this, but all stem from the same thing. Your sweat glands are blocked, so sweat is not making it to the surface.
Consequently it stays under your skin and irritates you. The solution is to clear the sweat glands. Shower in warm water and exfoliate the area affected really well. The good news is is that it usually clears itself up. After a few months new sweat glands will hve developed. Until then, rub E45 cream on the affected area. One of its ingredients - anhydrous lanolin - is known to open sweat glands, thus helping get the trapped sweat to the surface.

What rash is this?
Clues: I first noticed it as a small red dot, which has spread over the last few months in both size and number of locations.
It first appeared when I was exercising and didn't have a shower as I normally would after the exercise.
It first appeared in around(but not in)my armpit, but has subsequently spread to the inside of my right elbow, inside of left knee.
It itches intensely at seemingly random times. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, sometimes at night, sometomes before a shower, sometimes after.
Itching it seems to make it itchier, so I usually scratch until it is tender/raw/weeping.
It is pink, with dry skin, (but not flaky or scabby skin), on top.
When I scratch it becomes bright red and swells up.
I am a 33 year-old male. Temperate climate.
I have a tinea infection in my foot.(in case it is related)
Because of the way it has grown and spread, I think it is some kind of organism...otherwise i would expect it to be everywhere, not just select places.right?|||It could be hives see a doctor you might need antibiotics.|||Enjoy your AIDS.|||Go to the doctor and find out. Unknown skin condition?
Out of no where my b/f started getting this "rash" looking problem on his body. At first I thought it was ring worm, but he seen a doc and they said no it was a type of fungal rash. But they didn't know what kind. (380 bucks and alls they could tell us was "don't know what that is try this cream on it"). We have tried every single over the counter and prescription anti-fungal-product there is. The rash only appears under his arms up by his arm pits, around his waist band on his pants, and on both of his sides. The "rash" is clusters of reddish blotches, some the size of a peanut and others are larger. They don't itch and the spots come and go with no reason at all. Does any one have any idea what this might be or what else we can try to make it go away. Please serious answers only and don't just tell us to go see a doctor/dermatologist...we HAVE!!|||The source below provides some additional types of skin rashes. It all started with my ring that my BF got me that I used to wear on my wedding finger. I never ever took it off. When I started to gain weight, the ring became very tight. It was restricting the skin under the band. So it started out as just a dry patch of skin. Sometimes I put the ring back on and just wear it for a special occasion. That's what started to make it really bad. It now goes from my knuckle all the way down to the end of my finger (not the tip, the other way) It is starting to rap around my finger. It is also spread to the gaps of skin that is in between my pinky and middle finger.
My co-worker says sometimes if the jewelry is not real, you may develop a bacteria from the ring. A bad reaction. But who knows if she knows what she's talking about.
It's red with tiny little bumps all over. The bumps are irritating my skin and they sting. Sometimes they itch.
I have tried everything: different kinds of lotions, Neosporin, calamine lotion.|||I recommend you see a doctor. I am not a doctor, but I have heard that some metal may cause poisoning. The way you describe this, it seems much worse than a mere rash that would normally go away in time. So, don't wear this ring anymore! You could try cortisone. You can buy 1% cortisone over the counter.

Facial rash, 27 weeks and 4 days pregnant....?
I have red bumps on my cheeks and a few under my eyes. They are not that small, not pimples, they kind of burn and itch when you touch them and they are spreading. I was at the doc yesterday and she kind of laughed it off. She said they are hormonal and that was the end of that. Has anyone else had these before during pregnancy and what can I do. I love my clear skin!! :)|||i am also 27 weeks pregnant and i asked my dr today about a breakout that i have on my face. i have it around my nose (kinda on the bottom and on the sides) and i also have it at the bridge of my nose that goes onto my eyelids a little. mine has been there awhile now but not till i got pregnant and it kinda gets better but doesnt go completly away! mine are little bumps and the area gets red (especially if i mess with it)! i have other children and have never experienced this before but she said that she doesnt think its acne, she thinks its probably just a breakout from being pregnant! she said if it gets worse or doesnt go away after i have the baby she will put me on meds to clear it up. she told me for now to use cordizone (mispelled i think sorry)|||i don't want to scare you but i had that on my back and i had shingles. if they really start to burn go to the er and they will check you out and give you stuff for it.|||i have them now...im gonna be 28 weeks tomm...and i hear ya about the clear skin..i told my mom and husband that is looks like i have ring worm..b.c they are bright red and itchy and dry looking.ad under my left eye ..and when i asked the ob they said the same thing..she laughed too..and said its a part of pregnancy and will go away either before the baby is born or after..so i noticed washing my face twice a day is helping a bit...and i use johnson moisturizing baby wash...just make sure if they are spreading that bad go to a dermatologist.good luck and congrats..|||A friend of mine got a rash and it was due to her vitamins for some reason. She ended up having to eat the little kids Flinstone vitamins, but I don't even think that helped much. Sounds like you need a new doc.! what a jerk! I'm sure if she "laughed it off" it isn't anything major, but maybe try the thing with the vitamins. It may work. Our bodies are so weird during pregnancy!|||Mask of Pregnancy:
What is this? "Mask of pregnancy" is also referred to as melasma and chlosma. Melasma causes dark splotchy spots to appear on your face. These spots most commonly appear on your forehead and cheeks and are a result of increased pigmentation. When you become pregnant your body produces more hormones, which causes an increase in your pigmentation. Nearly 50% of pregnant women show some signs of the "mask of pregnancy".
What can I do? To prevent "mask of pregnancy" from happening to you, you should wear a good sunscreen that is at least SPF 15 whenever you plan on being outside. You can also wear your favorite ball cap to protect your face from the sun. Your skin is extra sensitive, and the sun increases your chances of these dark spots showing up on your face.
A lot of woman have skin problems during pregnancy, I had PUPPPS with my DS but with DD I was fine all the way through.|||Sounds like the mask of pregnancy. I haven't had it, I just have horrendous acne for my pregnancies. Try BabyCenter, they may have some good tips.|||yep i had that off and one wiht my first and it hasnt gone away, i had clear perfect skin before du to not wearing makeup ever and it sucks that now i all red and blotchy.

Baby rash? (girls only)?
sorry this is a little in depth but has anyone ever had there skin peel off of there nipples when they were 6 1/2 months pregnant if so what is it and what causes it??|||If its just peeling, no bleeding, try putting lipsil on it (yes, I said it : lipsil) lol
It will rehydrate it.|||How bad is it peeling? If they're bleeding, check with your OB. If it's just flakes of skin that are dried, that's normal in some women. It happens to me a lot, even when I wasn't pregnant. Just dry skin. Good luck!|||It's normal. Your body is preparing for delivery and nursing in the ways it knows how, it's normal, I went through that too, if it's bothersome, talk to your doc, but your body is just preparing your breasts to breastfeed. Hormones cause that. You can put ointment on it to help with the peeling that is safe for babies to breastfeed on, called Lansinoh. http://www.lansinoh.com/index.php?src=di...

Nipple Rash?
I've been having itches around my nipples for 2 months now. The skin around it is dry and scaly and sometimes the itch goes away but comes back a few days later. There are also a few small red bumps around them.
Anyone knows of this condition?|||Ask your doctor for an Rx for Clobetasol Proprionate ointment, USP, 0.05%. It'll clear the problem up, and if you keep using it for 2 weeks after the last symptom, it won't come back. It comes in a 45 gram tube, and ask for the script to be for 2 tubes, just in case. (It's generic and cheap.)
It's prescriptive because you do NOT want to use it if you're pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, nor while you are breastfeeding.
This is a really sticky petrolatum ointment, so you probably want to cover the area with a couple of gauze 4x4s, so you don't mess up your clothes.|||I know I'm a guy so don't laugh. But I get the same dry skin condition in the winter quite often- try using Lever soap with vaseline lotion in it and lubriderm lotion after bathing- it helps.
I also find that if I go without an undershirt for a few days that helps the lotion soak in instead of getting picked up by my tshirt. A humidifier for your home/apartment will also help.|||haha..uhhh....i don't know|||It sounds like a yeast infection (yes you can get them on your breasts, also!). Your doctor can prescribe a medication called Nystatin. It is a liquid that you apply 2-3 times daily. It will help clear up the rash and the itching. Good luck!

heya all im 34+5 days pregnant iv had really bad flu for all this week which is dying down and now im getting real hot itchy eyes and skin all over my body its moved onto me face now iv had a liver test and the baby is fine any one else get this?|||Well I am 27 weeks and I have pregnancy induced hives. I have it on my feet, my wrists, in between my fingers and on my ankles. It's very itchy and very annoying. I'm not sure if this is what you have but I thought I was the only one out there experiencing this. It makes trying to sleep very difficult as if I needed anything else making sleep difficult. I hope this helps...Look at it this way..If your rash is pregnancy induced then you don't have much longer to go....Good luck|||I suggest consulting with your doctor. Sounds like conjunctivitis (pink eye) and heat rash. Better safe than sorry.|||When I got really ill with 2nd pregnancy I got cholostatsis where I was really itchy all over so worth getting blood test done. I wouldn't worry as my baby was fine and if they are running tests they are on top of it. After i gave birth it got worse and spread all over my body. I was prescribed cream an stuff to put in the bath and after a few weeks it had gone. It shouldn't be anything serious but get the doctor to check it again just in case.
I know two people that started with a rash early on in pregnancy but this dissapeared soon after giving birth. Some of us are just unlucky and our bodys react differently to the hormones.

Facial rash?
A few days ago I noticed my face looked kind of "rough" for lack of a better word. It also feels rough to the touch. All day today its been itching and burning. I'm 31 years old and I've never had skin problems before. I also have never had any problems with allergies. I haven't changed anything in my diet, laundry detergent or anything. I also don't use soap on my face. What could it be?|||about a year ago i had a similar problem. when i went to my doctor she recommended changing my soaps, lotions, detergent, ect; since you can actually develop an allergy to something over time. when this didn't work my dermatologist gave me a steroid cream to put on my face that cleared up the rash right away.
Wierd rash and bumps?
Ive got little ITCHY red bumps on my skin, about 7 on my left arm, five or 6 on my stomach, and 4 or 5 on my upper left leg. They start out small and once I scratch them they get bigger and start bleeding. Rash on 2 year old daughter ?
It is skin colored and hard to see but it is rough to the touch it doesn't seem to bother her she has been to the doctor and he says it's dry skin and to you cortizone creme. the creme doesn't seem to help does anyone know what this is or what I can do to get rid of it ?|||OK. Pay attention to the foods she's eating. Dyes can do stuff like this. Also fruits and some veggies. If its all the time then maybe it's milk or soap/washing products. Believe it or not, bubble bath will do this. She may have extremely sensitive skin. I've been putting up with this all my life. I can't even wear lace without breaking out. Make sure all of her clothes are washed and then use a fabric softener to get the rest of the soap out of the clothes. As far as the rash itself? Treat it as an allergy. That's the best way. I would start with benadryl cream or aveeno lotions. They seem to be the best. There are some over the counter allergy meds for kids too but I'm not sure what age. I think it's 2 yrs. Also, don't overlook lotrimin. But this dries the skin out. My pediatrician told us to use it on diaper rash. It cleared within 3 applications. Try it on different spots. Hope any of this helps. If all else fails then take her to a dermatologist and get a second opinion. It's better than nothing or guessing. Good luck.|||you can take a hot bath but not to hot ..or put oatmeal in the tub|||talk to your doctor about it. tell him/her that the creme isnt working.|||maybe is like a skin parasite like chiggers?|||Try Eucerene skin cream. It's pretty expensive for a cream, but it works.|||eczema---try getting a prescription cream|||well, ask your doctor about Protopic and Quadriderm. my 2 year old also has the rash, on her face, because she kept blowing her nose when she was ill.
Cortizone didn't seem to help either.|||Where is the rash? It could be something called eczema. If it's at her waistline it could be from the brass on the jeans snap (if she wears jeans)...my grandaughter can't wear jeans because of that reason.|||Sounds like a case of exzema. You can also use a little baking powder, and take the sponge to the effected area. Scrub it gently and that should get it off. Another way is trying a sugar scrub, you and your daughter could pamper each other and get the ickies off her bottom.Hope this helped.|||DEAR

After weeks and weeks of it not going away I got a new RX for Clotrimazole/Betameth Cream and the rash was gone in 24 hours. I have since used it on an occasional flare up. Also, my son has sensitive skin and the only products I can use on him are by Little Twig and they are all natural and organic. What kind of rash or infection do I have?
Around the base of my penis and the bottom of my ball sack I this dry, peeling, itching skin. It doesn’t itch until it gets warm in the area. So I itch it until all the dry skin goes away and then it starts burning. I want to know what I have and how can I treat it. I have tried Vaseline because I thought it was dry skin, but it didn’t work. I am currently trying Lotminin Ultra, because I thought it was jock itch, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Does anyone know?|||It does sound like jock itch. It takes severaldays of CONSISTENTLY applying the Ltrimin exactly as the directions say. If Lotrimin doesn't work, try Lamisil, it's a different drug.
Jock itch is the same thing that athlete's foot %26amp; ringworm are - a simple skin virus. It likes warm moist places. You may want to switch to boxers if you currently wear other types of underwear, as this will allow some"breathing" of the skin.
It's entirely possible that it could be eczema (persistent dry skin that is not curable, but treatable). If this is thecase, your doctor may tryyou with Ellidel - which works MIRACLES. I had a really bad case of eczema on my hands that I thought was ringworm %26amp; treated for months to no avail.
But yeah, you might wanna see a dr soon, just in case.
GL!|||I would get to a doctor soon.|||you have fungus (ie jock itch) go to the doctor, it sounds like you need something stronger than you can get over the counter...|||I recently had something very similar and thought many things that you are trying. I had to go to the Doctor to once and all find out. It turns out it was bacteria from sweating. You should get it checked out.|||Hi,
'Lotminin Ultra' is a Clotrimazole cream and is used for fungal infections.
If it has not responded to the cream it may be something different, a different fungal strain.
Candida Albicans, the same type of yeast that causes vaginal yeast infections, is the next probable cause.
Try to buy a cream or ointment that contains 'Miconazole'.
If this fails go to the doctors as it may be something more serious than a fungal infection and may require antibiotics.

PS
Jock Itch does not usually affect the ball sac or penis, it is usually just on the inner thighs.

Rash on neck and chest?
Just moved from ohio to los angeles california. Before I moved I had a few circle spots by my chest that were bairly noticeble and still are barly noticably it is like faint spots like two by my chest and the a few by my neck it looks like ring worm but not as bad as ring worm looks. What could it be dry skin or some kind of bacteria. Who should I go see a doctor or dermatoloist. Honest ansers please|||Most rashes originating from the trunk of the body progressing outward are food and/or drug allergies. Does it respond to Benadryl?|||Sure does sound like ringworm. It is possible to get ringworm from a cat or dog. It is possible to confirm ringworm by looking at the rash with a black light. If it fluoresces, it is probably ringworm. You do not mention whether or not it itches, I think that ringworm is not very itchy.
Rashes can be a lot of different things, though, including allergies, illnesses, and dermatitis.
I would go to see my family doctor to make sure.

I have this rash what is it called...?
everytime i scratch my skin hard or for a long time i get these huggeee red bumps on my skin... i have it RIGHT now on my back and it hurts sooo badd... what is it called and what should i put on it?|||No idea what it is called...just a rash. Put hydrocortizone cream on it and then an ice pack. You'll feel better in no time.|||it could just be that you have dry skin, I usually use Curel lotion, we have hard water and it really dries my skin out|||I have the same problem. Rash on puppy's stomach?
My 13 week old lab puppy has little bumps on the hairless part of his lower abdomen. The skin is a little darker than usual. Some of them look like tiny scabs. They are dry. He also has some under his "armpit". He is not itchy. No hair loss. Do you think it's a disease or an allergic reaction? He's perfectly healthy otherwise.|||Many puppies get that rash on their tummies. It is likely a canine staph...not contageous to humans.
Puppies are sensitive to many subastances, such as grass, carpet cleaner, Frebreze, Swifter wet, etc , on their bellies.
The mild allergy causes a rash, and if it turns crusty or scabby, a staph infection has jumped in.
Try this for 3 days, and if you don't see improvement by Monday, get him in the see the vet.
When pup comes in after morning potty trip, wipe areas with wet cloth, dry, and apply a mixture of Vaseline, and douche powders. Just mix a small amount of each until it makes a salve...Apply very thinly.|||Our Lab Puppy has the same exact thing- around her belly. inner back legs %26amp; tail-- little dark scabs. (she doesnt have fleas)
has drumrchick's puppy's rash gone away? what worked? Report It
|||Well, if it's a black or darker looking rash, it's flea dirt. This is a sure sign your dog has fleas.

Rash in my inner thigh, red raised bumps, pain radiating from right buttock around to groin area.?
The surface of my skin is very painful. Had pain for a week, then these bumps in my inner groin area came, also a few on my right buttock. the pain is horrible.|||Not sure if this is it, but excercising in cheap fabrics or sweating lots with your legs rubbing together might've caused it. I used to get it quite a bit (although I'm a male, and not exactly thin nor fat) so my legs would rub together a lot and cause a rash with bumps, I got the rash from the lower rear buttock to the testicle connection.

Weird Rash on my face?
I started using proactive last feburary, and now my skin is pretty much all clear. I have been using the same make up and mouisturizer and everything for a while, and they have all been working great.
Since it is winter, my face is a little dry, but that is only expected; i pretty much always have dry skin in the winter.
But the other day in dance class, i felt soemthing weird on my face. i thought it was really dry skin, but then i looked in the mirror and there were all these red bubble-bump things on my chin, and it was itchy. when i got home, i asked my mom and she said it looked like an alergic reaction or somehting. i havent eaten anything new or anything. It cant be acne, because i dont really get any pimples any more, plus it didnt feel like it. Help!|||If I were you I would go to a dermatologist or to your regular doctor. I have sensitive skin and I use proactive so I doubt it is from that. If it is a rash, they will give you medicine to solve your problem.|||I use that too!!! it makes me look different in myopinion, it irritates my skin and drys it out, it works but it leaves a terrible rash, my skin turns red for like 2 days. I advice you to lay off pro active a bit, and maybe change your product, pro active helps for zits, but TERRIBLE for skin, its the ingredients. Go to a skin person, or shoppers drug mart and see what they have in stock for ya|||Hi lizzielou!!!
I'm sorry about what you are going through. It could be an allergic reaction, but it also could be something more serious as "RING WORM".
I don't want to alarm you, but when you mention that you were at dance class, something told me it could be "Ring Worm"
infection.
Go to the doctor, to check and verify. I hope it is NOT, but if it is, follow the doctors advise, because it is a very contagious disease. Wishing you luck.
GOD BLESS YOU, HAPPY LIFE

My lil one has a rash around her neck. I think she has an allergy to Dreft..?
I know babies have sensitive skin as it is. I also have a skin issue with laundry detergent if the fragrence is too strong. It doesnt seem to be bothering her and she has a doctors appointment tommorrow for a well baby check-up.
Any other parents have this issue?
What can I use to help the redness go down?|||My son had the same problem. What I did was still using Dreft I just put all his stuff through another rinse cycle.|||if she's at a drooly stage, like teething, it could be caused by that. i stopped using dreft with my son and just used the all free, it has no dye and no fragrance|||I would use something fragrance free. Here's a good website where you can check out different laundry detergents for babies... http://www.diaperjungle.com/detergent-ch...
I have used Ecos Free %26amp; Cear Liquid Laundry Detergent and it is great.|||Don't use Dreft on baby clothes. It has perfume in it which can irritate their skin. Use a scent, dye and enzyme free detergent.
Here is a link about some good detergents to use:

It is meant to help pick out a good detergent for cloth diapers, but the same detergents are perfect for all your baby's clothes and yours too for that matter!|||Dreft smells strong to me. I just use All unscented and I use an extra rinse cycle. The rash might also be a spit rash, or from soap, etc. as well, but I would ask the doctor tomorrow. Don't put anything on it.|||If she was allergic to the detergent, she would have rash all over body. She is probably teething. Is she drooling alot? The acidity of saliva will cause a rash when in contact with the skin for long periods of time. Wipe her mouth frequently and put some cornstarch powder in neck area to help keep dry.|||Try putting Aveeno Diaper Rash ointment or any other baby lotion with zinc oxide in it to protect the skin from wetness. It may also be a yeast infection - no big deal, yeast love warm moist areas, and you may need a doctor's prescription to clear it up. If it were a skin sensitivity issue, I would think she would have the rash everywhere the clothes touch. Be sure to clean well under her chin and neck - it's amazing how breast milk, formula, or food can hide in those sweet necks! Hope this helps.|||She proll is allergic to it just like my daughter is the other day she became red then all of a sudden there were Hives all over her body!!! and we had to go to the er|||Baby's have very sensative skin, it could be her drooling, or formula, or breaskmilk getting down there, when my daughter gets a red rash down there, I usually wipe her neck really well, and put some baby powder on my hand and put it on her neck, to help dry the skin out.|||Are you using fragrance free detergent on your own clothes too? Disease, Fungus, Rash...?
2 weeks ago I got a "friction burn" on my penis where the head joins the shaft. Ususally kept clean and unused for a day or two it's fine however...it was used and the area grew a little bigger. Finally the pain from being raw was not worth the action so I gave it a rest. However the raw area seems to keep growing even now. If I let the area "breathe" it seems to begin getting better but then an itch will strike and we're raw again. I now have an area going completely around the top of my shaft (below the head) that is. There's also a raw area on the underside of the shaft towards the base. Around the head when "raw" there's a clear fluid coming thru the skin. I have no discharge or odor. Actually tried "wraping" it up in a neosporin and gause which seemed to help but once again once this uncontrollable, almost painful itch hits you're done. Oh also when it starts to "get better" the skin in the effected area will get dry and scaly making it easy for any friction to aggrivate|||Get yourself a anti fungal spray and spray it on.....Jock itch seems to be your problem!! Buy an anti fungal spray or cream, AND LEAVE IT ALONE!!|||You need to see a doctor.|||some times harsh soaps make tht area really rough..mine's very rough too...infact if i slide my finger up my shaft it feels very rough and my penis actually hurts...but then i changed my soap brand (dove sensitive skin...i know it's gay...) and it was still rough but didn't hurt any more...
